Steven is the Managing Partner at DRM Consulting Engineers, bringing over 30 years of experience in civil and structural engineering.
A Chartered Civil and Structural Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, he has been a key part of the firm since joining as a graduate in 1987.
Steven has extensive expertise in ground engineering, foundation design, and the stabilisation of abandoned mine workings, including large-scale grouting projects and the assessment of complex geological conditions.
His experience spans residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects, ensuring the delivery of safe, cost-effective, and sustainable engineering solutions.

He also has experience in expert witness services, where his technical understanding and attention to detail provide clarity in engineering-related disputes.
As a Partner at DRM Consulting Engineers, Alastair takes an active role in ensuring projects are well-designed, compliant, and structurally efficient, always focused on practical, high-quality engineering solutions.
Nick Henderson

Nick is an Associate at DRM Consulting Engineers, bringing over 30 years of experience in geotechnical and geo-environmental engineering.
With a B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Leicester and an M.Sc. in Pollution and Environmental Control Management from Heriot-Watt University, he has developed extensive expertise in ground investigation, site remediation, and environmental risk assessment.
Nick has specialist knowledge in the consolidation of historic mine workings, ensuring the stability and safety of developments on previously mined land.
He also provides expert witness services, offering professional insight into geotechnical and environmental matters.

Roy is an Associate at DRM Consulting Engineers, bringing extensive experience in Building Services Engineering across the industrial, educational, commercial, and residential sectors.
With a B.Sc. in Building Services Engineering, he has developed specialist expertise in the
design and specification of air-conditioning, heating, ventilation, and water services systems
for a wide range of building types.
Roy is also experienced in sustainable design and energy conservation, ensuring that projects align with modern efficiency standards and environmental requirements.
His strong planning and organisational skills enable him to manage complex projects effectively, delivering solutions that are both practical and cost-efficient.

Michael is an Associate (Civil and Structural) with DRM Consulting Engineers, with over 17 years of experience in Structural Engineering.
He is a Chartered Civil and Structural Engineer and an SER Certifier of Design (Building Structures).
Michael has extensive experience in structural design across a wide range of sectors, including low- and high-rise residential, commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare, and refurbishment projects.
As the head of DRM’s Civil and Structural department, Michael leads the delivery of projects throughout Scotland and the UK. He is dedicated to providing practical, cost-effective, and compliant engineering solutions, maintaining the highest standards for every client.
